Do you write blogs on Programming or Web designing techniques? How do you Post codes and snippets in your blog post? May be you write codes as it is or you would be using Blockquote to write html codes.

Most Bloggers use blockquote to share tutorials based on codes and snippets but do you know Alex Gorbatchev has created an amazing Syntax Highlighter using Jquery that neatly show all html, JavaScript, php, Sql, Xml etc. The codes are displayed line by line number wise. There are many options available in it like print the code, copy to clipboard and see the source code etc.

Alex has released the lastest updated version of syntax highlighter (3.0.83) but i have used the older version (2.1.383) as it contains the mentioned options as explained earlier. Each code comes with a script called Brush. There are many brushes available for different formats like html, Javascript, php, C++ etc. I have used the most popular brushes as I mentioned. you can select your own brushes check BrushList and select brushes of your choice.

Starting with iOS 7, Apple began automatically sorting users' iPhone photos based on time taken and location. But a new patent application reveals the company is interested in taking it one step further, and allowing Siri to sort through iOS photos based on voice search and tagging.

The company's interests were revealed in a new patent application published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Thursday. The filing, entitled "Voice-Based Image Tagging and Searching,"
describes associating "natural language" text strings with photographs saved on a device, like an iPhone.

Such text strings would be associated with speech input, much like users can access data on their iPhone by speaking in plain conversation to Siri, the device's voice-driven personal assistant. Text strings associated with photos could cover an entity, an activity, or a location, according to the filing.

Apple's application notes that a growing volume of photos collected by users on devices like iPhones makes them increasingly hard to sort through. The company notes that tagging photos based on names of people or places makes it easier to find what users are looking for.

    "Apple's system would allow users
    to use their voice to
    tag and search photos
    based on locations, people's
     names and more."

Apple's system would also allow users to tag photos with their voice. In one example provided by Apple, a user tells their device, "This is me at the beach," and the corresponding picture is tagged accordingly.

The proposed invention could even automatically tag corresponding photos, based on the time and location at which they were snapped, to make it easier for users to sort their pictures and not require them to individually tag each picture.

Apple's system could even recognize faces, buildings or landscapes to tag similar photos. For example, by a user telling Siri that they are captured in a photograph, the system could then intelligently tag other photos that capture the user's face.

With photos properly tagged, users could then use their voice in a similar manner to search for the pictures they are looking for. In another example, a user asks their device, "Show me photos of me at the beach," and related items are delivered.

Apple began automatically sorting pictures with a revamped Photos application that debuted in iOS 7 this year. Starting at a macro level, photos are presented in tiny thumbnails based on the year they were captured, and users can zoom in to find their photos sorted based on date and location.

In this manner of auto-tagging alone, Apple could utilize its proposed invention to allow Siri to sort through pictures. For example, saying "Show me photos from Hawaii taken in 2012" could present users with relevant photos, even without the need for tagging faces.

The application, first made public this week, was filed by Apple with the USPTO in March of this year. It's credited to Jan Erik Solem and Thijs Willem Stalenhoef.

A Russian hacker has managed to gain the access to the BBC server and then attempted to sell the access to other cyber criminals in the underground Russian forums.

The firm told Reuters that its researchers observed a Russian hacker goes by Online handle "Hash" and "Rev0lver" attempt to sell access to the BBC server on Christmas day(Dec 25th). Holiday shoppers have already been reeling from a breach of Target's database, and their situation isn't improving now that Christmas is over. The store chain has confirmed that the perpetrators took encrypted PIN codes, theoretically scoring access to legions of accounts. There is some consolation for affected customers, though. Target notes that the encryption key rests with an outside payment processor; unless the hackers attacked both companies, they won't have an easy time cracking into the financial data. The reassurances won't help those who've had to replace bank cards in light of the breach, but they do suggest that Target avoided the worst possible outcome.

With more and more employees getting work done on the go, mobile devices are quickly becoming a huge security risk for companies, new research shows.

A study by the Ponemon Institute, a security research center, and Lumension, a provider of end-point management and security, revealed that 75% of IT security professionals said mobile devices will pose the biggest threat to companies' security in 2014, up from just 9% who said the same in 2010. Additionally, 68% of respondents said their mobile devices have been targeted by malware in the last 12 months.

Larry Ponemon, chairman and founder of the Ponemon Institute, said he has seen the threat landscape fundamentally change over the last five years.

    "Trending data
        shows increasing concern,
    year over year, over the
    explosion of mobile
    devices on the network,"

"Trending data shows increasing concern, year over year, over the explosion of mobile devices on the network," Ponemon said. "It's now IT's greatest risk."

Despite that finding, nearly half of the IT security professionals surveyed don't manage employee-owned mobile devices.

While they might pose the biggest risk, mobile devices aren't the only security threat organizations are facing. The study found that advanced persistent threats (APTs), which occur when a cybercriminal accesses a company's network in an attempt to steal data or cause damage, are also becoming a concern for IT professionals. This year, 39% of those surveyed said APTs, also known as targeted attacks, are one of the risks they're most worried about, up 55% in 2009.

Overall, 40% of IT security professionals reported that they were victims of a targeted attack in the last year. Among those, spear phishing emails sent to employees were identified as the No. 1 attack entry point.

The volume of malware also continues to be an escalating problem. The research found that 41% of IT professionals said they experience more than 50 malware attacks per month, up 15% from three years ago. In addition, nearly 70% said malware attacks are contributing significantly to rising operating costs.

    C. Edward Brice, senior vice president of worldwide marketing for Lumension, said that as the end-point environment evolves, IT security strategy must evolve, too. He said rubber-stamping the security portfolio of years past shouldn't be an option, given how fluid organizations' data have become.

"Security technologies should be reviewed for this emerging threat landscape," Brice said. "User education is also critical."

The study was based on surveys of 676 IT and IT security practitioners with involvement in end-point security.

Everyday hundreds of android phones and tablets drop into the toilet and get
wet, or in the sink while doing dishes, or get splashed at the swimming pool.

It can happen to anyone, you are not the only one. You place your Android phone on the shelf and next thing you know, your toothbrush is upset and decides to hit your Android phone and make it land in the toilet. Or you decide it would be a good idea to watch a video in the bathtub on your Android Nexus 7 and it splash it falls in.

So how can you fix a waterlogged Android phone or tablet?

    Steps:

    1. Take off the cover of your Android phone.
    2. Take out the battery.
    3. Dry off everything with a towel.
    4. Get a Rubbermaid container, just large enough to fit your phone inside of it.
    5. Find some rice. Any type of rice. Brown rice, white rice, Uncle Ben’s Rice, Generic rice and put some in the rubbermaid container.(How much rice? Cover the bottom of the container)
    6. Place the android phone inside the container and close the lid.
    7. Wait for 24 – 48 hours and your Android phone should be dried out, inside out.
Why does this work? Because Rice absorbs water. Any water or vapors that seeped into the phone will seep out into the rice.

    Hope that it will work.
    Thank You!!

Here is a simple workshop using which you can stream audio from your PC to your Android device using the local wireless network.
Imagine this scenario—you have set up an HTPC to create a good home theatre with great audio routed through your surround sound speaker system and the display on a large screen HD television. Now you can enjoy your favourite flicks or FPS games during the day with thrilling audio. Now imagine you want to watch a movie or play a game while at night without disturbing your sleeping family or grumpy neighbours. You have to switch to using your headphones to enjoy the loud sounds without disturbing the surrounding peace. You have an option to watch it on your tablet or phone, but it won't be the same experience as watching it on a large screen. This calls in for an investment in a long wire from your TV or PC to your bed or recliner to connect your headphones. Other options are a wireless headphone or a Bluetooth headset, but they are equally expensive for occasional use. Worse, if you have a friend or two at your place and they need an earphone too? What do you do? Investing on hardware that can split the audio into multiple outputs for two or more headphones is not easy and definitely not as cheap. Why not take a different route? How about “Free”?

    Requirements:

An Android Phone, a wireless router or wireless network, a PC, the server software and android app.

This app can be installed on Windows and Linux PCs
SoundWire is a simple Android app that routes any and all audio from your PC to your Android device via the local wireless network. The idea is to convert your Android device into a wireless audio headset using the wireless (Wi-Fi) network. All that is needed is the app installed on one or multiple Android devices and the server on the HTPC. The server supports operating systems such as Windows XP or higher and Linux. Setting up server is a simple one click method. Download the server based on your operating system from http://georgielabs.net and install it. Simply double-click on the application shortcut on your desktop and the server is ready and streaming. The server window will highlight the server's (PC’s) IP address, the status of the number of devices (Android devices) connected to it, a master volume control and an audio input selector. This input can be left as "Default multimedia device" or choose the input from the drop-down list. If you are using a standalone DVD player or external media player, you can choose the input mode and route the audio from the player to the line-in of the PC. Optionally, the server also has an option to record the streaming audio to an MP3 or WAV file on the hard drive.

Moving on to the app, simply head to the Play Store and download app for free. A paid version is also available for Rs 238. The only difference between the paid and free version is that the former simultaneously allows multiple users to connect to the same server. Once the app is installed, all you need to do is (on the main screen) enter the IP address of the server (PC) and hit the large SoundWire icon above it. The app will then connect to the server and will start streaming the audio instantly.

At first you will face issues of sound lags where the audio and video being displayed on the monitor are not in sync. To rectify this, you will need to play around with the app settings to set the audio compression bit rate and buffer size. To get the best results, you can refer to settings in the screenshots. Play around with the settings to reach the optimum results for your environment. If you are using this to stream music, you don’t need to bother with the settings at all. The app is a great option if you want to wirelessly stream your music from one room to another or create a wireless speaker system around your house, office or even outdoors. Using this method, you can enjoy your music or movies using your high-end headphones on your Android other than the sticking to the quality of the wireless/Bluetooth headphones.

You can always enable Internet Connection Sharing & Create a WiFi Hotspot in Windows 8 natively, but if you are looking for a 3rd party freeware to convert your Windows PC into a wifi hotspot, you may want to check ou mHotSpot.

    mHotSpot:

    tips&101tricks/images
mHotSpot is a free software which enables you converting your Windows laptop or PC into a virtual WiFi Hotspot.
Without even installing the freeware, you can turn your Laptop into virtual Wi-Fi router and share your internet connection with Smartphones, Tablet, PCs or any other Wi-Fi enabled device, notwithstanding the fact that you may have an internet connection through LAN, Data Card, or 3G/4G.
With a simple interface mHotspot can be used by anyone without having much knowledge of sharing internet connections. Even beginners can use it and share their internet connections with other devices. Unlike other such software, mHotspot includes no complicated settings and the user can start using it with just a few basic settings done.

mHotspot allows 10 devices in a single internet connection. With a file size of 400KB, this freeware downloads quickly and then you can set your own hotspot name easily. Once your hotspot is created, you can share any type of internet connection with the Wi-Fi enabled devices.

You can connect devices like iPads, PDAs, Android Smartphones, Tablets, PCs, and Laptops etc. You can also secure your wireless hotspot with WPA2 PSK password security.

Make Your Windows PC a WiFi Hotspot

    • Go to the network and sharing center and right-click on your wireless networks connection. Go to ‘Properties’ and click on ‘Sharing’ tab. Now tick on “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection”. Click Ok to make the changes work.
    • When done with these settings, launch mHotspot and click on ‘Start’ tab. The freeware will then start sharing your wireless internet connection with other available devices. Which means you can now connect your computer system with  multiple Wi-Fi enabled devices. mHotspot will display the list of available wireless connections.
    •  This is all you have to do. You can then connect various devices to the internet connection running on your computer system.

If mHotspot does not work properly for you, try restarting your computer system for the best functioning of the program
Overall, mHotSpot is a very useful freeware for those who want to create a wireless hotspot at home or office. The only drawback I found here is it works only with Windows 7 and Windows 8 devices.

You download mHotspot from its official download page here.

    Enjoy!!!!

Things that You need for Hacking Gmail Account Password:
    1. Gmail Phisher
    2. Free web Hosting site
    3. Little bit of manual work

    Introduction to Phishing

If you know little bit of hacking then Its must for you know About Phishing i.e. What is phishing and How it works and most important How you can protect yourself from getting into the trap. I will try to explain all of these in my article.

First of all What are Phish pages and what is phishing?? Phish pages are basically the fake pages or virtual pages that looks similar to the original website Page. The only difference is the batch program running in the background i.e Original Webpage sends requests to Gmail server while Phish Page sends request to hacker's php server. Now Phishing is a password hacking technique commonly used by hackers using phish pages that looks similar to original web page. The only difference is the URL in the address bar so Guys One Important Tip for you all always check the Address bar while going to any website .

Now What is Smart Phishing, Normal phishing page sends the password to hacker but it doesn't redirects the page to original website but smart phishing does. Means victim can never know what really happened and his account is got hacked. He will only think that he has entered the wrong password as in second attempt the web page is original and he will be able to login and the most fantastic thing is that the original redirected page has username already entered in it that makes it even smarter.

Now lets come to how it works?? When a user types a Username Password in the the text box,The info is sent to "login.php" which acts as a password logger and redirects the page to"LoginFrame2.htm" which shows "There has been a temporary error Please Try Again" in it . So when the person clicks on try again it redirects to the actual URL so that the victim does not know that your site is a fake site and gets his gmail.com password hacked.

    Hacking Gmail Account stepwise:

    1. First of all download the gmail Phisher. Download.
    2. Extract the rar file now you will get three files as given below.
    • gmail.html
    • log.txt
    • mail.php
    3. Upload all three files to any of the free Web Hosting servers. Remember while creating the account on these servers try the username as nearer as possible to the original URL like mail.gmaile or maile.gmail etc. As its most crucial step. Some Free webhosting servers are given below you can find few more for youslef.

    4. Once you have uploaded all the three files to web hosting server now you have to send these to your victim. This is the most important step regarding smart phishing technique.

And Last but the most important one Send him mail from Gmail Admin such that "We have seen illegal activity from your account and you need to verify your account and your account is temporarily disabled after this login. To unlock your account Verify your Email and in that link put your Phish link. Now Guys you all will came to know How it works. If you want to Protect yourself its must that you should know what techniques a Hacker can use to hack your Gmail Account.

    5. Now after sending phisher to victim, once the user logs in to his Gmail account using your phisher, his user ID and password are ours. And these are stored in log.txt file. What you have to do is just refresh your web hosting account files.

    6. The log.txt file will contain the password and look like this.

    Tips&101tricks/images
How to protect your gmail Account from phisher?
    1. Always check the URL in the address bar before entering username and password.
    2. Never follow any link from your email and any website until you have confirmed the Address bar URL.
    3. Never follow spam mails and "Win lottery and Cash" mails.
    Thats all!!!

If you have Any queries ask me in comments....Enjoy happy hacking.
